Chinese Eggrolls

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. eggroll skins
  • 1/2 head shredded cabbage
  • 1 can water chestnuts
  • 1/2 lb. shrimp, cooked
  • 1/2 head lettuce
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 lb. pork cubes
  • 1/2 c. celery, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. bean sprouts
  • 1 small onion, chopped

Instructions

  1. Steam cabbage, lettuce, onions, celery and pepper until soft, but not mushy.
  2. Stir-fry in 1/4 cup of oil, the meat for 3 minutes. Add water chestnuts and cook 5 minutes.
  3. Add cabbage mixture and stir.
  4. Add bean sprouts and cook until soft.
  5. Place small amount on eggroll skin, fold and seal with small amount of egg yolk.
  6. Deep fry in 1/2 inch of oil.
