Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup cocoa
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 4 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, cocoa, and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Add milk to the mixture.
  3. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  4. Cook until the mixture reaches 234°F (soft-ball stage).
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Add butter and vanilla, stirring until melted and combined.
  7. Beat vigorously for a full 10 minutes until the fudge thickens.
  8. Pour into a prepared dish and let cool before cutting into squares.
