Chocolate Hazelnut Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 box vanilla wafers
  • 8 ounces chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
  • 1 cup hazelnuts (filberts) chopped
  • 1/2 cup frangelico
  • 3 tablespoons corn syrup, light
  • 1 x powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Pulverize the vanilla wafers to powder in a food processor.
  2. Melt the chocolate chips (microwave works well), taking care not to burn them.
  3. Combine wafers, chocolate, hazelnuts, liqueur, and corn syrup; mix until blended.
  4. Form into bite-sized balls.
  5. Roll in powdered sugar, brushing excess sugar off for marbled look and less dusty eating.
