Instructions
- Combine the eggs, sugar, salt, and ground nutmeg in a bowl.
- Stir in the hot milk and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into the unbaked pastry shell.
- Bake at 425°F until a knife inserted just off center comes out clean, about 25 minutes.
- Cool the pie.
- Melt the chocolate with 4 teaspoons of milk over low heat, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and stir in additional milk a few drops at a time until of spreading consistency.
- Quickly spread the melted chocolate over the cooled pie.
- Chill the pie before serving.
