Chourice Rolls are savory bread rolls filled with spiced Portuguese chourice sausage, perfect for snacks, picnics, or casual gatherings, offering a flavorful and satisfying treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. frozen bread loaf
  • 1 lb. ground chourice

Instructions

  1. Thaw the bread dough.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Divide the dough into 6 equal balls.
  4. Flatten each ball into a 6-inch circle.
  5. Place about 2 tablespoons of chourice in the center of each circle.
  6. Bring the edges of the dough together and seal to enclose the filling.
  7. Roll each filled ball into an oblong shape.
  8. Place the rolls on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
  9. Let the rolls rise for 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 30 minutes until nicely browned.
  11. Remove from oven and brush immediately with margarine.
