Chourice Rolls
Chourice Rolls are savory bread rolls filled with spiced Portuguese chourice sausage, perfect for snacks, picnics, or casual gatherings, offering a flavorful and satisfying treat.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. frozen bread loaf ⓘ
- 1 lb. ground chourice
Instructions
- Thaw the bread dough.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Divide the dough into 6 equal balls.
- Flatten each ball into a 6-inch circle.
- Place about 2 tablespoons of chourice in the center of each circle.
- Bring the edges of the dough together and seal to enclose the filling.
- Roll each filled ball into an oblong shape.
- Place the rolls on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Let the rolls rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake for 30 minutes until nicely browned.
- Remove from oven and brush immediately with margarine.
