Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 2 or 3 carrots
  • 1 can red kidney beans
  • 1 or 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 or 2 celery stalks
  • 1 (8 or 10 oz.) block cheese
  • 1 bottle French or Catalina salad dressing
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Decore and wash lettuce, then tear into bite-size pieces.
  2. Wash, peel, and grate carrots.
  3. Chop celery and cheese into small pieces.
  4. Peel garlic cloves.
  5. Place salt into a small bowl and add garlic cloves, then mash with a fork until mushy.
  6. Drain kidney beans and mix beans with garlic and salt.
  7. Combine lettuce, celery, beans, and cheese in a large bowl.
  8. Mix well with salad dressing before serving.
