Cider Jelly
A sweet and tangy cider jelly infused with cinnamon and red hot candies, perfect for spreading on toast or serving with cheese for a cozy treat.
Ingredients
- 1 qt. apple cider
- 2/3 c. red hots candy
- 1 (1 3/4 oz.) pkg. powdered fruit pectin ⓘ
- 5 c. sugar
Instructions
- In a large kettle, heat apple cider, red hots candies, and powdered fruit pectin, stirring often.
- Bring to a full rolling boil.
- Add sugar to the boiling mixture.
- Return to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly.
- Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat.
- Skim off any foam from the surface.
- Pour hot jelly into hot jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace.
- Adjust jar caps securely.
- Process jars in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
