Cinnamon-Nut Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 c. presifted flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg, separated
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, sugar and egg yolk.
  2. Blend flour and cinnamon. Stir into mix.
  3. Pat into 10 x 15-inch greased pan.
  4. Beat water and egg white until frothy.
  5. Brush over dough in pan.
  6. Sprinkle with nuts.
  7. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
  8. Cut into small 1 x 3-inch bars.
  9. Makes 50 cookies.
