- Use about one-third of refrigerator dough.
- Roll out the dough into a 12 x 7-inch oblong shape.
- Spread the surface with melted butter using a pastry brush.
- Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon evenly over the buttered surface.
- Roll up the dough as for cinnamon rolls.
- Cut the rolled-up dough into 12 slices.
- Place the slices with a little space between them in a greased 9-inch round pan.
- Cover and let rise until light, about 25 to 35 minutes.
- Bake until golden brown, then remove from the pan.
- If desired, top with icing before serving.
