Ingredients

  • 2 cans clams, drained well
  • 1/4 cup olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

Instructions

  1. Drain the canned clams and measure two cups of the clam juice, adding water if necessary.
  2. In a skillet, cook the minced garlic in olive oil or vegetable oil until lightly browned, then discard the garlic.
  3. Add butter and the clam juice to the skillet and heat until just about to boil.
  4. Add the drained clams and heat through, being careful not to boil the mixture.
  5. Season with salt to taste and stir in chopped parsley.
  6. Serve over cooked spaghetti or noodles.
