Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 onion, minced
  • 1/4 c. fine bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. sage
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. ketchup
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef with all ingredients.
  2. Form into 1-inch balls.
  3. Saute in a small amount of oil in a skillet until well browned on all sides.
  4. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Combine ingredients for sauce and heat in a saucepan for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring gently.
  6. Pour sauce over meatballs.
  7. Serve hot.
