Coconut Pompons

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°.
- Cream butter or margarine, sugar and vanilla, then add flour and salt.
- (Can be refrigerated for easier handling.)
- Shape dough around piece of nut or half a cherry to form 1-inch balls.
- Roll in shredded coconut.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 18 minutes.
