Coconut Pound Cake(Good)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 c. flour (plain)
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 large can coconut (7 oz.)
  • 1 Tbsp. coconut extract

Instructions

  1. Cream together Crisco and sugar.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time. Combine flour, salt and baking powder.
  3. Add milk and flour mixture alternately to creamed mixture.
  4. Add coconut and coconut extract. Grease large tube pan; cook at 325° for 1 hour and 25 minutes, starting in cold oven.
  5. Let cool in pan.
