Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp cream of tartar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1 1/3 cup coconut

Instructions

  1. Beat egg whites until foamy.
  2. Add salt and cream of tartar. Beat until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually beat in sugar, one tablespoon at a time, until stiff and glossy.
  4. Fold in vanilla extract, almond extract, and coconut.
  5. Drop spoonfuls onto a lightly greased baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly golden.
