Coconut Twists

Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 can coconut
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 1 egg and milk for 1 c.
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, sugar, egg and milk.
  2. Mix flour mixture in.
  3. Add vanilla. Mix together well.
  4. Make 3 balls, roll out thin.
  5. Spread melted butter over dough.
  6. Sprinkle sugar and coconut over half of dough.
  7. Fold in half, cut into strips about 1/2 inch wide and twist.
  8. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
  9. Bake at 425° for 15 minutes.
  10. Roll in powdered sugar.
