Ingredients

  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 lb. string beans
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. + 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 1/4 c. cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Boil the green beans.
  2. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon sugar and 3/4 teaspoon salt while boiling. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes until beans are crispy.
  3. Drain the beans under cold water.
  4. Combine minced shallot, vinegar, and salt.
  5. Drizzle in olive oil; add the beans and chopped cilantro and toss to coat.
  6. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
