Ingredients

  • 1 large head lettuce
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • water

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut up the lettuce.
  2. Dice the small onion finely.
  3. Add butter to a pot and sauté the onion until translucent.
  4. Add the chopped lettuce and enough water to cover the ingredients.
  5. Cook until the lettuce is tender, about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Near the end of cooking, sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, preferably with corn bread.
