Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten really well
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. nuts, chopped
  • 1 can crushed pineapple (do not drain)

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar with beaten eggs.
  2. Add baking soda to flour and stir half of flour mixture into egg mixture.
  3. Add vanilla and pineapple.
  4. Mix well and add remaining flour and nuts.
  5. Bake in greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan and bake in preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool 5 minutes. Place icing on top while still warm.
