Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen lima beans
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen corn
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream

Instructions

  1. In a small, heavy saucepan, bring the chicken broth to a boil.
  2. Add the lima beans and corn, then reduce heat to moderately low. Cover and simmer for 8 minutes or until vegetables are just tender.
  3. Add the sugar and black pepper, then cook for 2 to 4 minutes or until almost all the liquid has evaporated.
  4. Stir in the sour cream and transfer the mixture to a warm vegetable dish.
