Ingredients

  • 3 c. water
  • 1 c. corn meal
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 to 1 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. flour

Instructions

  1. Heat the water to boiling.
  2. Mix the corn meal, flour, and salt with milk.
  3. Pour the mixture into the boiling water, stirring constantly.
  4. Cook until thickened, stirring frequently.
  5. Continue cooking over low heat for 35 to 45 minutes until the mixture is thick and cooked through.
  6. Pour into pans and let set until cold, preferably overnight.
  7. Slice the set mixture and fry until golden brown before serving.
