Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • boiling water
  • cold water
  • 3 or 4 teaspoons colored liquid tempera paint

Instructions

  1. Mix cornstarch with cold water to make a smooth, thick paste.
  2. Stir in boiling water until you reach the desired consistency; the mixture should become thick, lose its white appearance, and turn fairly clear immediately.
  3. Spoon the mixture into paint cups or jars.
  4. Add liquid tempera paint and stir to combine.
