Cornsticks Or Corn Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 c. self-rising corn meal
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 c. sweet milk
  • 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 3 Tbsp. oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Mix together egg, milk, butter and oil.
  3. Add, all at once, to dry ingredients.
  4. Pour batter into hot, greased pan, filling about 2/3 full.
  5. Put in oven.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
  7. Bake corn bread in a shallow pan.
