- Catch enough rainbow trout (about 15 inches long) from a mountain lake for a meal.
- Prepare an open fire and cook the trout over the flames until done.
- In a large cast-iron skillet, cook 6 strips of bacon until about half done.
- Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook until browned.
- Drain off the bacon grease from the skillet.
- Add a can of corn and a small jar of pimentos to the skillet.
- Cook the corn mixture until hot.
- Serve the cooked trout with the corn mixture on the side and enjoy.
