Ingredients

  • 8 cups cranberries
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 4 cups gin

Instructions

  1. Chop cranberries, 4 cups at a time, and place in two 1/2 gallon jars.
  2. Add 4 cups of sugar and 4 cups of gin to each jar.
  3. Cover the jars with nonmetallic lids and shake vigorously for 5 seconds.
  4. Store the jars in a cool place.
  5. Shake the jars daily for 3 weeks.
  6. Strain the mixture well to remove solids.
  7. Yield: approximately 6 cups.
