Cranberry-Pineapple Sauce
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup orange juice ⓘ
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon ⓘ
- 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries, coarsely chopped ⓘ
- 2 cups crushed pineapple with juice ⓘ
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons brandy-based orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier(R)) (optional) ⓘ
Instructions
- Cook and stir orange juice, white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon together in a saucepan over medium heat until sugars are dissolved, about 5 minutes. Stir in cranberries, pineapple, and walnuts; cook, stirring frequently, until sauce is slightly reduced and thickened, 25 to 30 minutes.
- Remove saucepan from heat and stir in orange liqueur.
