Cranberry-Wine Mold

A festive cranberry-wine mold combining tart cranberry sauce, rich Burgundy wine, and crunchy nuts, perfect for holiday gatherings or elegant appetizers.

Ingredients

  • 2 (3 oz.) packages cherry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup Burgundy wine
  • 1 can whole cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 large apple, pared and diced
  • 1 large pear, pared and diced
  • 1 large orange, peeled and diced

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the cherry gelatin in boiling water.
  2. Allow the mixture to cool.
  3. Add Burgundy wine and cranberry sauce to the gelatin mixture.
  4. Chill until partly set.
  5. Fold in chopped walnuts, diced apple, diced pear, and diced orange.
  6. Pour into a 1 1/2-quart mold and chill until firm.
