Ingredients

  • 1 box orange cake mix
  • 1 (30 oz.) package orange jello
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Bake the orange cake in a 9 x 13-inch pan according to the package directions and cool.
  2. Dissolve the orange jello in 3/4 cup boiling water.
  3. Add 1/2 cup cold water to the dissolved jello.
  4. Cool the jello mixture to room temperature.
  5. After baking, cool the cake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  6. Poke holes approximately 1 inch apart across the top of the cooled cake.
  7. Slowly pour the cooled jello mixture over the top of the cake, allowing it to soak in.
  8. Refrigerate the cake while preparing the topping until set.
