Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. soft shortening
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup lukewarm milk
  • 1 package yeast
  • 2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar and soft shortening until smooth.
  2. Add salt and stir in 3/4 cup lukewarm milk.
  3. Crumble yeast into the mixture.
  4. Beat in flour with a spoon until well combined.
  5. Let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll out the dough into a circle and spread with melted butter.
  7. Cut the circle into pie-shaped wedges and roll each up.
  8. Place the rolls on a baking sheet and let rise for 15 minutes.
  9. Bake at 425°F until golden brown.
