Ingredients

  • 3 whole Wonton Wrappers
  • 1/2 cups Oil

Instructions

  1. Cut each wonton wrapper into rectangular strips, about 1/4 inch.
  2. I get about 5 strips per wonton wrapper.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat oil on medium-high heat.
  4. Once the oil is hot, drop in a few strips at a time, making sure not to crowd the pot, and allow to fry until golden brown.
  5. This usually only takes about 20 seconds.
  6. Remove the wonton strips and place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  7. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 1 to 2 weeks
  8. Alternatively, you can bake these at 350 degrees F. Place on a baking sheet and brush egg wash (beaten egg whisked with 1 tablespoon water) over each strip and bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
