Ingredients

  • 12 cups plums (after cut from seeds)
  • 8 cups sugar
  • 1.5 cups water

Instructions

  1. Wash the plums and cut them from the seeds.
  2. Save the seeds and wrap them in cheesecloth; cook with the plums.
  3. Combine all ingredients in a large pot.
  4. Cook on low heat until the sugar is melted, then bring to a rapid boil.
  5. Reduce heat and cook slowly for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the mixture jells.
