Instructions
- Line a deep pie pan with pie crust.
- Bake quickly 10 to 15 minutes
- in hot oven.
- Scald the milk.
- Sift cocoa, flour, sugar and
- salt. Gradually
- add scalded
- milk, mixing well. Cook, stirring
- constantly until thick.
- Slightly beat yolks. Add
- a little
- of the thick mixture to yolks, then add all to the cooked mixture.
- Cook
- a while
- longer, stirring.
- Add butter
- and vanilla.
- Pour
- into
- baked pie shell.
- Let cool. Beat
- egg whites
- with
- 3
- tablespoons of sugar for meringue. Brown.
