Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup oleo
  • dash of salt
  • 1 (8 oz.) package dates
  • 3 cups nuts

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, milk, oleo, and a dash of salt well.
  2. Cook the mixture until it reaches the soft ball stage in cold water.
  3. Add the nuts to the mixture, then pour onto a wet towel.
  4. Chill until set, then slice and serve.
