Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 medium potatoes
  • 1 lb meat
  • 1 large can tomato juice
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 can whole kernel corn
  • 1 cup purple hull peas

Instructions

  1. Skin potatoes and boil them until tender.
  2. Cook beef in a pan until browned and cooked through.
  3. In a saucepan, combine tomato juice, salt, pepper, and garlic salt and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add chopped onions to the saucepan.
  5. Add cooked potatoes, beef, peas, and corn to the saucepan.
  6. Let the soup simmer on low heat for about 1 hour, until flavors meld and onions are clear.
