Ingredients

  • 1 bunch carrots
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 lemon
  • 3/4 cup pure maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Cut carrots in half lengthwise, then crosswise.
  2. Combine carrots with salt and water in a frying pan.
  3. Heat to boiling and cover.
  4. Cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Uncover and cook for 3 minutes until liquid evaporates.
  6. Add butter, lemon slices, and maple syrup.
  7. Cook uncovered for 15 minutes.
