Ingredients

  • thin white sandwich bread slices
  • soft butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • pie filling

Instructions

  1. Cut the crusts off the edges of the bread slices.
  2. Butter both sides of each bread slice with soft butter.
  3. Place the buttered bread into a mixture of sugar and cinnamon, coating both sides.
  4. Place the coated bread slices into a cupcake pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8 to 10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Allow the baked bread cups to cool completely until hard.
  7. Fill the cooled cups with your favorite pie filling.
  8. Top with whipped topping when ready to serve.
