- Bake the cake according to the directions on the box in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Cut the cooled cake into 1/2-inch cubes.
- Soak the cake cubes in Kahlua overnight.
- Prepare chocolate mousse as directed.
- Layer in a large bowl: 2 to 3 layers of cake cubes, mousse, Cool Whip, and candy (almond bars), repeating the layers.
- End with a layer of Cool Whip and candy on top.
- Chill the assembled dessert overnight before serving.
