Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons salad oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sifted flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat water and salad oil to boiling.
  2. Add flour and salt; beat together until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  5. Spoon pastry onto a nonstick cookie sheet in 3-inch strips (approximately 1 x 3 inches), leaving space for spreading.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for approximately 45 minutes until puffed and golden.
  7. Cool before filling.
