Dillworth Tomatoes(Pudding)

Ingredients

  • 1 (10 oz.) can tomato puree
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. fresh white bread, cut in 1-inch squares
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Add sugar and salt to puree.
  2. Boil 5 minutes.
  3. Place bread squares in casserole.
  4. Pour melted butter over them.
  5. Add hot tomato mixture.
  6. Bake, covered, for 30 minutes in medium oven.
