Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. sifted flour
  • 2 1/4 level tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 level tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 2 eggs (beat whites and yolks separately)
  • 1 1/2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Sift all the dry ingredients together twice.
  2. Mix liquid ingredients; combine with the dry.
  3. Bake on hot, well greased waffle iron and serve with maple syrup.
  4. Makes 6 good size Dixie Waffles.
