- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- Pour 1/4 teaspoon salad oil into each cup of the popover pan.
- Preheat the pan to sizzling hot.
- Beat all ingredients with a rotary beater at full speed until smooth.
- Pour batter into the pans, filling about half full.
- Bake at 450°F for 15 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 350°F and bake for an additional 20 to 25 minutes.
- Serve the popovers hot, great with gravy or spreads.
