Dolly'S Vegetable Soup

Ingredients

  • 46 oz. can V-8 juice (tomato soup may be substituted for a different flavor)
  • 46 oz. water
  • 16 oz. can tomatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 turnip
  • 1 head cabbage
  • 4 carrots
  • 3 to 4 stalks broccoli
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. dry red pepper

Instructions

  1. Chop all vegetables.
  2. Bring V-8 juice and water to a boil. Add other ingredients.
  3. Reduce heat and cook for about 30 to 40 minutes to blend flavors.
  4. Do not overcook.
  5. Vegetables should remain firm.
