Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • chili powder
  • 2 medium potatoes, sliced thin
  • 1 large onion, sliced thin
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of tomato soup
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • herb stuffing mix (topping)
  • grated Cheddar cheese (topping)

Instructions

  1. Brown beef (scrambled); sprinkle with chili powder while cooking.
  2. Layer the ground beef, potatoes and onion in order given in 2 or 2 1/2-quart baking dish.
  3. Repeat layers, if desired.
  4. Pour over all, the mushroom soup, tomato soup and milk.
  5. Sprinkle with herb stuffing mix and grated Cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake covered in 375° oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
