Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, eggs and oil.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Drop by teaspoon into hot fat or deep fryer (275°).
  4. Fry until crisp, but not burned.
  5. Roll in sugar (while still hot), powdered sugar or your own glaze.
