Ingredients

  • 2 medium size mullet fillets
  • 1/2 cup onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced
  • butter or margarine
  • seasoned salt
  • Cajun seasoning

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mullet fillets by patting them dry and setting aside.
  2. Thinly slice the onion and tomato.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter or margarine over medium heat.
  4. Add the onion slices and cook until translucent.
  5. Place the mullet fillets in the skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  6. Top the fish with sliced tomato and onion slices during the last few minutes of cooking.
  7. Season with seasoned salt and Cajun seasoning to taste.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with additional vegetables if desired.
