Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 pie crust bottom
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Prepare the earthworms by boiling them three times in clean water, changing the water each time.
  2. Bake the boiled earthworms at 325°F (163°C) for 15 minutes until crisp, then crumble.
  3. Preheat the oven and line the pie crust bottom with the prepared earthworms.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the egg and evaporated milk.
  5. Layer grated Swiss cheese over the earthworms in the pie crust.
  6. Pour the egg and milk mixture over the cheese and earthworms.
  7. Sprinkle bacon bits on top of the filling.
  8. Bake the pie at 375°F (190°C) for about 30-35 minutes until set and golden.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.
