Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/3 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Combine self-rising flour, sugar, baking powder, and Crisco; mix and handle lightly.
  2. Put out on a floured surface and lightly roll the dough.
  3. Cut with a biscuit cutter and place in a greased pan.
  4. Bake for 13 minutes, then turn the oven to broil.
  5. Broil for 2 minutes or until browned.
