- Dissolve yeast in 1 cup of warm water.
- Make a cavity in the center of the flour; put in shortening, egg, and yeast mixture.
- Blend well.
- Add the remaining warm water gradually.
- Mix well until a soft dough is formed.
- Knead dough for about 5 minutes on a lightly floured board.
- Let it stand in a warm place until it doubles in size.
- Shape dough and place in a greased pan.
- Let it rise again for about 45 minutes.
- Bake in a 450°F oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
