Easy-Do Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. instant dry milk
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. cooking oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 3 1/2 to 4 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Measure water into large mixer bowl.
  2. Sprinkle yeast over water.
  3. Add dry milk, sugar, oil, egg, salt and about 1 1/2 cups flour; blend well.
  4. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed.
  5. By hand, gradually add remaining flour to form a stiff dough, beating well after each addition.
  6. Cover; let rest 15 minutes.
  7. Toss dough on lightly floured surface until no longer sticky.
  8. Knead 1 minute; shape.
  9. Divide dough into 20 pieces.
  10. Roll quickly into balls; place into greased pan.
  11. Brush each with soft butter.
  12. Cover; let rise in warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  13. Bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes.
  14. Makes 20 rolls.
