- Defrost two pie shells.
- Cover chopped meat with water in a frying pan and cook until browned.
- Drain all water from the meat.
- Add canned or jarred gravy with onions to the meat and cook until heated through.
- Pour the meat and gravy mixture into one pie shell.
- Cover with the second pie shell and seal the edges.
- Brush the top crust with beaten egg and cut 4 or 5 slits on top for ventilation.
- Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 40 minutes until golden brown.
