Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup Karo light syrup
  • 1 pound sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Stir butter, Karo light syrup, and half of the sifted confectioners sugar in a 3-quart saucepan over low heat until bubbly.
  2. Quickly stir in the remaining sugar and vanilla.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Stir until the mixture just holds shape.
  5. Pour into a greased pan.
  6. Let the candy cool until lukewarm.
  7. Knead until smooth.
